Medicare For All is what Tennesseans deserve. No private company should be dictating the care and cost of our health. Americans pay significantly more for healthcare than any other peer nation, for less comprehensive care. When we take care of our people, our economy improves.
Environmental Justice
Crucial environmental protections have been gutted, leaving our most vulnerable Tennesseans at the mercy of private equity. In District 5 specifically, residents of South Memphis are being poisoned by emissions from a data center being held to no account. TN Farmers are facing the effects of a changing climate. Our water supply is being taken for granted for technology that is on the precipice of bursting its bubble. We are human and are deserving of a healthier life, and more importantly for the lives of generations to come.

Affordability
Tennesseans are being crushed by increasing costs while wages remain stagnant. Between groceries, fuel for our vehicles, healthcare, and utilities; our families are having to choose between paying right away, going without, or putting their expenses on credit.
Accountability
No elected official should use their seat in office to shield themselves from accountability for unethical gain. They should also not enrich themselves while their constituents foot the bill and live paycheck to paycheck. Our children and survivors deserve protection and justice.
Thus, Congress should fully exercise the legislative authority it is designated to have by the Constitution.
